Wellness & Fitness Activities

At King’sBridge, we recognize that health and wellness are a key component of a fulfilling retirement lifestyle.  And our facility offers several amenities to ensure that residents have access to wellness and fitness activities.

Wellness Center

The Wellness Center is staffed seven days a week, where staff members play a vital role in the day-to-day lives of residents.

Our professional staff monitors and assesses resident’s health as needed, and provides both first aid and 24-hour emergency assistance.  A staff member (not a medical professional) will visit a resident in his or her apartment during a time of illness, if requested.  Family members are kept informed about relevant health-related issues, and any medical concerns are communicated immediately.

Fitness Classes & Clubs

Classes designed to improve muscle elasticity and increase endurance are offered three days each week in the Pavilion.  These classes are taught by an exercise physiologist. 

  • A Walking Club meets on Wednesdays and Fridays inside the Pavilion.  Residents get their steps in while enjoying lively music.
  • A Balance Class allows residents to enhance balance and prevent falls.  Students stand behind a chair to complete these motions with safety and confidence.
  • Chair Tai Chi and Yoga classes are held weekly for relaxation and cardiovascular improvement.

Fitness Center

A fully equipped exercise room is available with a NuStep recumbent step machine and treadmill. Stationary bicycles, eliptical machines allow residents to stay active.

Health Forums

King’sBridge hosts a number of guest speakers who discuss wellness topics of interest to senior adults.
